GPEC 1st Partners meeting Abu Dhabi, October 12, 2025
GPEC’s first ever Partners meeting was held during the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi in October 2025. The meeting saw the participation of the full complement of partners comprising 17 participants over 13 organizations. A further 13 interested organizations were invited as observers, many of whom are in the process or have already joined the partnership.
A major milestone during this meeting was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by the GPEC Steering Committee which provides a framework of cooperation and understanding among the GPEC steering committee members.
